    Classroom Visitation
Although we believe that the Curriculum Night is important, we also know how much students love to show their parents their classrooms and introduce them to their teachers. Accordingly, Bridge will host the annual “Bridge School Classroom Visitation” on Friday, September 26th, from 8:30-9:00 am. During this time, the children can walk their parents around the classroom, show them their desk, locker, and anything else that he/she feels is important within the classroom. We hope that through both of these events parents will not only learn about the curriculum but will also have a chance to view their childís classroom though the eyes of their child.

EPSOM, NH - The Northeast Resource Recovery Association (NRRA) ispleased to recognize Paul O’Connell, Bridge Elementary School, Lexington, MA withthe “2013-2014 Facilities Staff Recycler of the Year” Award.

In our experience, to have a successful schoolrecycling program having willing participants from each stakeholders group iskey and when you have enthusiastic and motivated members it’s that much better.Paul O’Connell plays an integral role in Bridge Elementary School’s recyclingprogram. With Paul’s dedication and support, the program has grown from aone-day-a-week pilot to a full-time recycling program. He sets up the recyclingstation each morning, making sure it’s ready to go for the first lunch period.During lunch, he whisks away the leftover liquids without being asked, cleansthe recycling bins he even hauls the organic waste home for his garden. Paul’swillingness to do the “dirty work” and his enthusiasm makes it possible forthis program to continue and succeed.

His unfaltering dedication and attention to theprogram make him a very deserving recipient of the 2013-2014 Facilities StaffRecycler of the Year Award.
