Join Cub Scouts Pack 160 for our

 

 

SUPER SOAKER BLAST!

 

 

Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 7pm at Hastings Park

 

 

(across the street from the Hayden Ice Rink)

 

 

Rain date: June 6, 2013

 

 

 

This is an opportunity for kindergarten through fourth grade boys and their families in the Fiske and Bridge Elementary School districts to meet members of the Pack and to learn more about scouting.

 

 

Bring your favorite water toy, extra water for refueling and a towel.

 

 

The Cub Scouting program encourages group and family involvement in activities that help boys to learn to respect their home, country and other people, as well as:

 

 

Develop personal independence

 

 

Learn new physical skills through sports, crafts and games

 

 

Learn how to get along with others through group activities

 

 

Expand mental skills learning about their community and the world around them

 

 

Learn to make values-based decisions that assist them through their adult lives.

 

 

 

Pack 160 and its families help Cubs Scouts develop these skills and have a great time

Old-Time Baseball Game: Be a part of the Home Team!

We need 110 baseball volunteers for short & fun shifts!

Even if you aren’t out on the field, we need your 300th team spirit at the event!

Please sign up for a one hour shift to help make the Old-Time Baseball event a great event for all ages.

Like other 300th events, there are many ways to help – from taking pictures to helping with children’s activities or souvenir sales.

Transportation Information for May 26th, 2013

Bike Info:

A bike rack will be available at the end of Park Drive, located by the rotary just behind the Center Playground. Bring a bike lock.

Shuttle Bus Info:

 On Sunday May 26th,shuttles will run (approximately every 15 minutes) between Center Field and the following 2 locations:

*** Lexington Public School Administration Building (next to Harrington Elementary School - 328 Lowell Street)

*** Department of Public Works (201 Bedford Street)

First shuttle: 10:30am

Last shuttle departs from Center Field: 4:30 pm(Departing from Center Field, at the end of Park Drive, next to the playground.)

 Fiske Book Swap
 
Book Swap, Thursday, June 13 at 12:15pm at Fiske.  Refresh your home library and baskets of books for summer reading at the annual Book Swap. Start sorting through your children's and your books and pass along some good reads for the book swap.  More information coming soon, so start collecting them and put them in a box for now.  Please contact Jen McKinley with questions or if you would like to help out. jp_mckinley@yahoo.com  Thank you!
 

Do you have an interest in Baseball, History and the Town of Lexington? 
  
We are seeking volunteers to help out at the Old-Time Baseball Game on Sunday, May 26th (Memorial Day Weekend) at Center Field. This will be a fun filled exciting event filled with Old Time Baseball played by the rules of the 1860’s, entertainment, kids games and more! This is an event you will not want to miss and we need your help!
 
Shifts are listed in one hour increments but you are more than welcome to sign up for more than 1 shift at a different time. 
 
Volunteer opportunities include helping with the Kids Games, Team Rep, Photographer, Entertainment Facilitator, Merchandise Sales, Set-Up and Clean–Up, Traffic Coordinator and much more! Please click on the link and share your time and experience a fun filled day!
