Expectations of team members 

 
 
Expectations of the AT Specialist:

·     Initiate the SETT AT consult within one school day of receiving the AT Consult Request Form, by contacting the person that completed the Form

·     Work with the special education liaison to schedule teacher interviews, student observations,etc…

·     Observe the student within his/her customary environment

·     Draft an AT Implementation Plan, given input from the team members

·     Create an AT Binder for the student and give the Binder to the school-based team

·     Respond to emails from team members in a timely manner

·     Complete AT Consult Summary Form at the conclusion of the AT Consult

 

Expectations of the Person Requesting the Consult:

·     Invite additional, pertinent team members to teacher interviews and consult meetings, as appropriate

·     Respond to emails from the AT Specialist in a timely manner

·     Work with the AT Specialist to develop the AT Implementation Plan

·     Determine the best locations for the student’s AT Binder

·     Refer to the team-developed AT Implementation Plan regarding:

o   Implementing the AT Tool and additional strategies

o   Monitoring the AT Tool and additional strategies

o   Training support staff and related service providers

·     Communicate with the AT Specialist regarding any changes in the student, placement, or tasks

·     Communicate with the AT Specialist regarding any concerns of other team members, including the parent

·     Communicate details of the AT Consult process to general education teacher, related service providers, and support staff

·     Contact the AT Specialist if related problems arise again in the future

 

Expectations of the General Education Teacher: 

·     Participate in teacher interviews and consult meetings, when applicable

·     Respond to emails from the AT Specialist in a timely manner

·     Provide feedback to the AT Specialist regarding the AT Implementation Plan

·     Refer to the team-developed AT Implementation Plan regarding:

o   Implementing the AT Tool and additional strategies

o   Monitoring the AT Tool and additional strategies

·     Communication any concerns regarding AT Tools and Strategies to the Person that Requested the Consult

 

Expectations of the ETS: 

·     Distribute the AT Consult Summary Form to the student’s team members at the conclusion of the SETT AT Consult
