Degrees and Certifications:
Estabrook School is an exceptional place to learn and grow. Every day, students engage in learning that is targeted to meet their needs, in an environment where every child feels supported. In addition to the topics explored and skills learned as part of the Learning Expectations of the Lexington Public Schools, Estabrook students engage in study related to our status as a LEED-certified green school, venture into nature in and around the conservation land that abuts our school, and explore robotics/engineering projects as part of our robotics/maker space initiative.
With students at the center of everything we do, Estabrook values development of the whole child. We know that learning is very much a social experience. To that end we focus on teaching students social competencies and how to develop and sustain healthy peer relationships.
Our faculty and staff are dedicated to exceptional teaching and learning. They are engaged in continuous professional learning across Massachusetts and around the world. Teachers routinely collaborate with professionals across the district, and participate in and present at regional and national conferences. Students and staff are supported by an unparalled group of parents and families that strengthen all that we do.
Estabrook has long been a pioneer in educational innovation, since opening our first building in 1961. Estabrook has been recognized routinely for its education program. In recent years, groups from as close as Boston and as far away as China and Kuwait have visited the school to learn about our teaching. In 2016, Estabrook played host to the Massachusetts School Building Authority’s annual “Story of a School” event, during which Estabrook was showcased as a model school.
