Each year, Ms. Murray, Bridge School's Art Teacher, holds a Ceramics Fundraiser. This fun event is designed to celebrate Bridge School's ceramics program, to allow a special time for parents and children to create clay pieces together, and to raise funds to benefit A.C.T. and the PTA.
Students come to the Art Room (accompanied by a parent) to create a clay pot or sculpture. A follow-up glazing session is held, or alternatively, Ms. Murray applies glaze to projects after firing. Participants register to attend the 45-minute ceramics sessions. Students and parents can sign up ahead of time for this first-come, first-served event. An $8 per pot donation is suggested.
This year the event was held on Wednesday, November 4th, and 10% of the proceeds went to the Lexington Food Pantry.
