METCO College Scholarship Fund of LexingtonDear Friends,
The METCO College Scholarship Fund of Lexington has been granting “need based” scholarships annually to METCO graduates of Lexington High School since 1969. As tuitions continue to rise, students often graduate with more and more debt. Now, more than ever, these graduates need our help.
The Trustees of the METCO College Scholarship Fund of Lexington seek your help so that we may provide financial aid to our deserving applicants in the senior class. Your support may mean the difference between residential or commuter programs, present or deferred matriculation, or restricted or full participation in campus life. With the help of contributions from donors in the past, our students have attended Boston University, Dean College, Lesley University, New England College, Hampton University, Emmanuel College, Framingham State University, MASS Bay Community College, Howard University and Clark University, to name a few.
Please help us support our community’s future METCO graduates by making a tax-deductible donation to the METCO College Scholarship Fund of Lexington.

The METCO Program (Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunities) was founded in 1966. It is a voluntary integration program that provides a suburban public school education for African-American, Hispanic and Asian students from Boston. The Lexington Public Schools have participated in the program since 1968. The METCO College Scholarship Fund of Lexington was established in January 1969 to support Lexington’s college-bound METCO graduates and received tax-exempt status in 1971
