One of two standardized college admissions tests in the US. (The other is the ACT.) It's run by the College Board, a non-profit that also administers the PSAT and the AP (Advanced Placement) program. Designed to measure a student's ability to understand and process elements in three subjects: Evidence-Based Reading, Writing (including an optional essay) and Math. The test is intended to assess students' readiness for college.

SAT testing at Lexington High School
Families are reminded to register their teen early for SAT testing at LHS. The Lexington test center fills quickly, especially for the May, June, and August test dates.
Students with disabilities:
Accommodations that are used in school do not apply to SAT testing unless approved by College Board. Students need to apply and College Board make the decision within 7 weeks of receiving an application.
