Deciding which standardized tests to take and when to take them are among the most important college planning choices for juniors. Now is the time to make your testing plan. Here are a few guidelines to help you. Take a practice test to figure out your stronger test. Most schools will accept either SAT or ACT scores. You do not need both. Prior to registering for these tests, students are encouraged to check with the colleges they are considering to determine if either the SAT essay or ACT writing test is also required. Both exams are administered seven times a year including in the summer.
