Welcome to Kindergarten!
Hi! My name is Seunghee Lee and I am a kindergarten teacher at Bowman school. I am originally from Korea, and live in Lexington with my husband and two sons.
I have been teaching kindergarten for over 20 years. My goals for each year are helping children build positive experience in school and building a strong learning community where everyone can learn from each other. I believe that building positive experience during the early years is critical for children to become confident lifelong learners. I encourage children to take risks, allow themselves to make mistakes, try their best, be independent, and respect others. In my free time I enjoy cooking, creating pottery, reading, singing, drinking tea, and spending time with my family.
Ms. Protasowicki, our wonderful Kindergarten Assistant, joins us four times a week. She assists in the classroom, facilitates small groups of children during our activity time and supervises recess and lunch periods. I feel very fortunate for her assistance in making this coming kindergarten year a successful one and we are both very happy to be a part of your child's kindergarten experience.
Each day your child will bring home his/her red communication folder. I will use it to send home newsletters and school notices, and encourage you to send me notes in this folder as well. It is the best way to get in touch with me. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will do my best to get back to you in a timely manner, usually within 24 hours. For urgent needs, please call the school (781)861-2500 and leave a message with the main office staff.
Thank you for helping your child. I look forward to working with you and your family this year.
