    1. Tell your story aloud. Listen for the "tough spots".  Using your final written draft, write these down, word for word. Practice these "tough spots" a few times and then tell the whole story one more time. Each time you tell your story, come up with one way to improve it.  Each time you revise your storytelling, notice how it gets a little better.  : )
      
    2. Begin working on your index cards.  These will be due on Monday.  On those six cards (use front and back) outline the important topics of your story.  Remember, for each scene, write what you'll say AND the story telling technique you'll use.

    We are now on to the next phase of this unit.  It's time to shift our thinking from writing a story to telling it. Tonight's homework will begin that process.

Watch the "Storytelling Techniques" slides presentation in google classroom.  Consider how some techniques will make your story vivid in the minds' of your audience.  These are the ones you'll try to use in the telling of your story.
