    Week of March 12

    To prepare for the upcoming Mandarin AAPPL Exam, please get a laptop computer (not an iPad) and a headset ready to familiarize yourself with what the AAPPL exam is involved. Go through the following three links thoroughly. Please preview information under CHINESE language, Schedule A. 8th Grade classes will work on ALL four parts: IL (interpretive listening), IR (interpretive Reading), ILS (interpersonal listening/speaking) and PW (presentational writing). Make sure you activate the microphone, have it memorized, and turn the volume up so it can clearly record your answers. 7th grade classes will do only ILS and PW for the practices.

    2. Use 什么都有.... 连.... 也有 to begin a short paragraph,  transition your statement with cohesive devices like 和、又....又....、可是、and to close the statement using 希望 in your phrase. You may subsitute 有 with any verb of your choice.
