• Early Intervention Services are provided through the Department Of Public Health for children, birth to 3, who are at risk for, or have been determined to have special needs.  If your child is receiving EIP services from an area provider, the provider will be discussing the referral process with you. You will need to sign a consent to allow this referral to start and the LPS Early Childhood Supervisor will be invited to one of your Home Visits from your primary EIP service provider/case manager.  This is called a "90 Day Transition" meeting but is often held 5-6 months before your child's third birthday.  At that time the Team will discuss your child's needs, the referral process and testing recommendations.  You will be receiving a copy of this brochure at your 90 Day Transition Meeting:  Transition Guide.
