    Musical auditions are this Wednesday 3-6PM in the auditorium. Don't be late and you MUST bring your filled out and signed audition contract. You will not be allowed to audition without the signed contract! You may leave as soon as you have finished auditioning or you are welcome to stay to watch others audition.

    Stage crew applications are due before Wednesday, Dec. 18th! We have to limit the stage crew to thirty five people. Priority will be given to 8th graders and 7th grade students who have experience from having participated in the fall play. Returning crew members must have proven themselves to be reliable, committed and hard-working to keep their spot for the musical. There will definitely be some spots for newcomers as well so get your applications to Ms. Bromley soon!

    The Geography Bee will be held on Monday, January 13th in Mr. Armstrong's room. Study materials are available on the National Geography website. All students are invited to attend.

     

    Attention 7th and 8th graders! Love to ski or snowboard or want to learn? There are still spots available to join this year’s annual winter trip to Jay Peak. Spend a day on the slopes and then relaxing at the water park. Sign-ups are going on Friday, December 13th

     

    Any student interested in fitness center intramurals should pick up a registration form in the gym lobby or download one from the Diamond Athletic website. Registrations are now being accepted. This program begins in January.

    Team t-shirt sales have begun.  Sixth and seventh grade students must have parents order online.  An email was sent home this weekend All eighth grade students will receive a team shirt based on the size you chose on your survey.  Sales end on December 20, so don’t delay.

     

    Due to snow days, last week’s Bike and Walk Wednesday has been rescheduled for this Wednesday. Ride your bike or walk to school on Wednesday and get a raffle ticket for a chance to win Rancatore’s or Abbott’s gift cards, cool bike socks or a new bike lock. If it’s snowing or there is ice, please walk instead of bike for safety. You must pick up a raffle ticket at the office before heading to class to enter the raffle.

    ANNUAL SKI/SNOWBOARD TRIP - Attention 7th and 8th graders who love to ski or snowboard, or who want to learn! Join this year's annual winter trip to Jay Peak. Spend a day on the slopes and then relaxing in the water park. Sign-ups are going on until Friday, December 13. This trip is limited to 80 seventh and eighth grade students. To reserve a spot, you can make a $150 deposit to the Main Office or through PayPal to Diamond PTO. See the ski trip website for information or email wfactor@lexingtonma.org.

     

    Any student interested in Fitness Center intramurals should pick up a registration form in the gym lobby or download one from the Diamond Athletic Website. Registrations will be accepted starting next week. The program begins in January.

     

    Basketball tryouts this afternoon for boys AND girls will be from 3-4:30pm.

    Congratulations to Ms. Temple’s 8th-grade homeroom for being Super Green Diamond Drummers!  Charlotte von Huene and Cleo McBride also went above and beyond by volunteering to cover absences. Your homeroom’s efforts made a difference!  Thank you!

    Boys who stay at school waiting for tryouts should go to the cafeteria for a study hall from 3-4:30pm.

    Both teams will practice at 3:00pm on Friday.

    Wednesday, November 27 - Dismissal at 11:45am, the building will be closing by 12:30pm

    Thursday, November 28 - NO SCHOOL in honor of Thanksgiving

    Friday, November 29 - NO SCHOOL

    Monday, December 2 - Half Day Dismissal at 11:45am for Parent Conferences

     

    This is the last week to register for Diamond basketball. Registration can be found on the Diamond Athletics webpage. An updated physical must also be on file with the school nurse. Basketball tryouts will begin on Tuesday, December 3.

    All 8th grade students need to fill out the survey that was emailed from Mrs. Sharp. The survey also includes information needed for the Washington, D.C. trip, so don't miss the deadline to submit.

    There is no BMAC this week, students should get on bus 143 at dismissal each day.

    This is a reminder to all homerooms, please bring your food donations down to the boxes outside room 137 this morning.  Any student council member available to sort on Monday morning should meet at the boxes AFTER checking in to homeroom.

     

    This is a reminder that on Tuesday, November 26, we will have a school spirit day. We would like each homeroom to select 1 spirit day idea as a group.  Homeroom teachers, an email and flyer was sent to Diamond Announcements. Please share the ideas with your homeroom students so that everyone can participate.  

     

    Congratulations to Diamond Varsity that came in first at IMLEM at Clarke! Way to go. Students that received a perfect score at this competition and should come get their certificate at the main office are:

    Diamond Orchestra and Band students:  Mr. Klimasmith wants you to know that your concerts last night were amazing.    Thank you for showing us the magic that happens when a group of individuals works so hard to make music together.  Congratulations on fabulous concerts. He is so proud of you.

    There will be a meeting for any student interested in trying out for the boys basketball team this afternoon at 3:00 in the gym.  The meeting will last approx. 15 minutes.

     

    Diamond basketball will begin on Tuesday, December 3. Any student interested in trying out for the team must register before November 27. Registration can be found on the Diamond Athletics webpage. An updated physical must also be on file with the school nurse.

     

    8th grade students that have returned their Minuteman permission slips please meet in the main lobby after homeroom.

     

    Attention students that are attending IMLEM today at Clarke. We will be leaving Diamond at 2:45 today get the bus over to Clarke. The bus will NOT be returning from Clarke and your parents will need to pick you up there, please make any arrangements you need.

    A reminder to field hockey players who have not returned their uniforms - please return them to Mrs. Wettstone by Friday.

    There is no intramural basketball today. The final session will meet on Monday.
