Connecting Without Language

Did you see our news article about the work staff mentors are doing with newcomers?  "Newcomers" are children that come to our school and often do not speak English upon arriving.  As you can imagine, navigating a new culture, school, and language can be a lot for young learners that do not speak any English, however, with the help of dedicated staff that mentor newcomers and the support of LEF, Fiske has worked to find innovative ways to support these students!
